SPL501 is a high optical purity PLA (L-lactide >99%, melting point >170°C) offering exceptional mechanical strength, rigidity, and heat resistance.

• Appearance: Off-white/creamy pellets (normal for PLA).

• Key properties: High tensile strength, high modulus, heat deflection temperature ~60-70°C after annealing.

• Applications: Automotive components, electronic housings, industrial fibers (woven bags, filtration media), hot food utensils (spoons, cups, trays – not for boiling or high-power microwave).

• Processing: Extrusion (film, sheet, fiber), injection molding, 3D printing. Dry at 80°C for 4-6h (moisture <50ppm).

• Advantage: Superior strength and thermal stability compared to standard PLA grades.
